Goofy? Yes, as in the lovable Disney character! He was part of Mike McCreery’s creative “pup-posal” to Ashlee Ryan during a 2019 family vacation. The rest — history!
We caught up with the couple after their wedding to find out about this next chapter in their love story, and it did not disappoint. Read on!
You told us you fell in love with Barn on Bridge’s rustic vibe. How did it go on the big day?
The wedding was beautiful. It unfortunately rained, but the team at Robert Ryan Catering & Design team was able to transform the tent into a beautiful ceremony space. Everyone was raving about the stunning location!
Were you able to have the wedding that you wanted, despite the lingering pandemic?
The pandemic didn’t ruin our plans! We were able to have the number of people we wanted. Unfortunately because of COVID-19, some guests only came for the ceremony or didn’t attend at all. On the upside — no masks! We got to see everyone’s smiling faces.
What was your favorite part of the day?
That’s easy: Marrying the love of my life! Before the wedding, one of our guests reminded us to sit back during the reception and just watch — to take it all in. We’re so glad to have gotten that advice; that’s exactly what we did, and it was amazing.
Were there any happy surprises during the day?
I was happily surprised at how well the tent looked for the ceremony. I was really nervous about the rain and having to move it all under the tent, but the Robert Ryan team did an incredible job. It was wonderful!
One last thing: I’d like to give a shout out to Robert Ryan’s Tiffany Primavera. She is absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend working with her. Everyone was great, but she was extra special.
